Locks are too heavy, thought textile designers Alexandrea Baum and Suse Brand. So they reinvented the bicycle lock. It's called tex-lock and consists of various high-tech textiles. The innovative founders combined fibers that have also proven themselves in space travel, the automotive industry and architecture in a completely new way. And they did so to create a rope with a now improved, hardened metal core. The special feature is the patented structure in several layers. Each layer fulfills a specific function and protects your bike from theft and attacks with bolt cutters, fire or saw.
In tests, the tex-lock eyelet 2.0 can take it loosely with the security level of conventional locks. The highly flexible bike lock is dirt and water repellent. Thanks to the practical rope length of over one meter, you can also connect your bike to a fence or railing. Another plus: It does not scratch the bike frame and does not rattle in your ears. The beautiful and lightweight locks are manufactured in a former piano workshop in Leipzig. With the utmost care and high-quality components. Now the only question is: orange, black or silver?
